Georginio Rutter added two more assists on Sunday as Leeds United defeated Millwall, bringing his season total to 25 goals and assists – but he thinks it was not his best performance.

The 21-year-old set up Willy Gnonto, who scored a stunning goal from 20 yards out to give Leeds the lead. Then Rutter had a stroke of genius, resulting in our second goal.

He spun on-loan Tottenham player Japhet Tanganga before finding Dan James, who scored off the bench. Jobi McAnuff, Sky Sports pundit, praised the goal following the 2-0 victory.

Rutter now has two more assists, bringing his total to 18, in addition to his seven goals in 40 games this season. Arguably our finest player this season, and a strong contender for Player of the Season.

Speaking to LUTV after the game, Rutter stated that his performance on Sunday, despite his two assists and the Man of the Match award, was not his greatest in a Leeds shirt.

”I try to do my best on the field. I do some assisting. The second one was good, you know. It wasn’t my greatest performance. Millwall is a formidable opponent. It’s not easy going against them, but we were stronger today.”
